ShibaSwap’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama claimed that Ryoshi had said to him that he developed Shiba Inu simply because it was meant to be–that it was written in the stars. The memecoin existing in this day and time is what was always supposed to be. Shytoshi tweets:“Ryoshi often said how SHIB is bigger than one man. And possibly written in the stars and destined for us to be here at this moment in history,”
On May 30, 2022 Ryoshi caused a stir in the crypto community when he deleted all his tweets and likes and unfollowed everyone. He also got rid of his Medium containing several articles. He then changed his Twitter PFP to Milarepa, infamous murderer turned Buddhist disciple. One of the most known figures in Tibetan Buddhism, Milarepa. This sudden change in Ryoshi’s pfp may have been an indication that he has charted a new path for himself, one that does not put him on a pedestal. It is this change that many have theorised is a signal of his complete abandonment of the SHIBA INU project, as he may have seen it morph into being a mere brand tied to profit.
Shedding this part of him can be seen as him going back to what he intended the project to be at the very beginning.
